  • A month ago we welcomed over 80 former members of the Choir back to Clare for the annual Clare Choir Alumni Association Evensong and Dinner. It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces and hear so many familiar voices joined together at Evensong. The event was also an opportunity to thank Bonna, the Catering team's retiring Front of House Supervisor, for her 17 years' friendship and generosity to the Choir. We are already hugely looking forward to next year's plans in the College's 700th anniversary year!
  • There was exceptional artistry on display from all performers at the Final of the Clare College Song Competition 2025 last night! Many congratulations to First Prize winners Hugo Williamson (tenor, Robinson) and Daniel Blaze (piano, Clare), who will give a recital at London’s St Martin-in-the Fields in November 2025. Second Prize was awarded to Harry Gant (tenor, King’s) and Isaac Chan (piano, Clare), with the Pianists’ Prize awarded to Calvin Leung (Trinity). Our very grateful thanks to soprano @sarah.melrose.tynan for delivering a wonderful and engaging Masterclass to all performers in the afternoon. The competition, which runs biennially, was adjudicated by @MrGrahamRoss (Chairman of the Judges and @clarecollege Director of Music), Sarah Tynan (Head Judge), @nicolajanekemp, and @lyn.alcantara.3.
